What is the Art of Felting?
Wool Felting reflects the rugged Highlands
Felt is a textile that is produced by matting, condensing, and pressing fibres together. It is one of the Oldest forms of textile dating back 6,500 years.
This medium allows me to combine my training in textiles with my experience and passion for watercolour landscapes to produce vivid landscapes that also reflect the rugged environment of the Scottish highlands.
I use a combination of welt felting, needle felting and hand stitching to create unique landscapes that bring these beautiful landscapes to life
